One of my favourite summer sights is a full sail on the water.  Growing up on the coast, I would love to look out and see a cluster of sails in the bay.
 
Exactly where this coastline is , is up for interpretation.   I adore the colours an azure sea, so for me it's more Riviera than Reighton.
 
'Regatta' had a life of its own from the start.  It's a piece that taught me to trust the process again and again, to allow the evolving art to reveal the direction.  As a result,  there is so much detail: artistic quirk's and 'just because' marks - Hokusai's wave has even been collaged in.
