The Clearing arrived on the canvas as unexpectedly as you might find a stunning view through a clearing on a path.
 
What I began painting with (neon pink and yellow) is nothing resembled in the finished piece... and yet had I not begun with those colour choices and the energy of that initial creative first session, this piece would likely not have evolved - ah the process!
